Sons of Italy - Tewksbury Lodge 2872
On May 29th, to honor veterans who have fallen for our freedom, the Tewksbury Sons of Italy celebrated Memorial Day by participating in two major events. The day started with a 5K race, held at the Tewkbury Country Club and jointly sponsored by the Rotary Club and the Lion's Club.
In addition to our lodge's $500 donation, several of our members ran in the race. In the afternoon our lodge participated in the Tewksbury Memorial Day Parade with a float recreating an Italian garden.
On July 15, 2017 The Tewksbury Sons of Italy joined the Wilmington Sons of Italy for a fun filled day at Salisbury beach.
The day started with a breakfast of pancakes, sausages and fresh fruits.
After breakfast families were able to enjoy some time at the beach and the playground.
Chief cook Charlie DeStefano fired up the grill and all enjoyed, hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and drinks for lunch.
